Looking for Sallie Smith on a Census

On the  1820 Census there's a Samuel Brackett in Barnet, Calendonia County, Vermont, with some older household members.  Sally Smith doesn't marry Samuel until 1826.

On the 1830 Census there's again a Samuel Brackett in Barnet, Vermont.  Right size household, but the ages?  I don't think this is my Samuel Brackett.

On the same 1830 Census there's Samuel Brackett in St. Albans.  So I think the Barnet family and the St. Albans family are different sets of people.  I think this is my Samuel Brackett.

Samuel Brackett in St. Albans, 1840. Family of 5, who is the older female?
Male age 5-10 could be John DeForest Brackett, age 6
Male age 40-50 could be Samuel Brackett himself, age 40
Female age less than 5 years old, would be Eliza Brackett, age 4
Female age 15-20, maybe another Canadian teenager servant?
Female age 40-50, but Sally is age 34 at time?

Samuel Brackett in St. Albans 1850.  Census taken September 10, 1850.  Notice the 6-months old baby Sarah S, so she's born in March or early April.  And here's Aurick Brackett on the census.
Samuel Brackett will die June 25, 1851, when his youngest daughter Sarah S. is a few months more than a year old.
Ann Barber, 16-year-old Canadian, is probably a servant?

Now in 1870 I find a Sarah Brackett in Rutland, with a daughter Sarah S..  Ages 64 and 21.  Sally Brackett is keeping house as an occupation, and her daughter is a Typesetter.

On the 1880 Census Sally Smith is in Kansas City, Missouri with her daughter Sarah.  Sallie Smith lists herself as born in Vermont, father born in Massachusetts, mother born in Connecticut.  This would match having Dolly Crary and John Smith, early settlers of Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont as her parents.  Sallie's occupation is keeping house.  Her daughter Sarah's occupation is now Schoolteacher.  Sarah lists her parents as father from New Hampshire, mother from Vermont.  Her father Samuel Smith, who died when Sarah was 1 years old, is actually from Massachusetts.  Did Sarah make a mistake in her census interview, or do I have the wrong mother-daughter pair?  Sally Smith Brackett and her daughter Sarah S Brackett are buried in Kansas City, Missouri, in the same cemetary as son/brother John DeForest Brackett.

I'd like to confirm or rule out that Sally Smith Brackett is the daughter of John Smith and Dolly Crary.
